Porcine immersion scalding tank
Machine designed for heating animals by immersing them in hot water.
With this treatment, the aim is to open the pores of the animal’s skin so that the depilation process becomes easier. The machine consists of a stainless steel tank, open at the top, which is filled with water.
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS:
The length of the tank depends on the production and the type of animal, as these parameters ultimately translate into a duration of immersion. Taking this into account, the immersion times for different animals are as follows:

The tank is equipped with the following elements:
- – Water inlet: Controlled by a pneumatic valve, activated by the level system.
- – Steam system: Water heating is done by direct steam injection, controlled by a gradual valve activated by a PT100 temperature sensor.
- – Drainage: The machine has a manual valve for drainage. An overflow pipe is connected to the drainage, ensuring that excess water goes directly to the drainage pit without overflowing from the tank.
Temperature control can be managed from the central control panel of the slaughterhouse, using a temperature controller. This can be programmable, as the temperature may vary slightly depending on the season or the breed of the animal.
