Slaughter Line Renovation: Comprehensive Optimization in a Pig Processing Plant
At Tecnoincar Toledo, we’ve successfully completed a new slaughterhouse equipment renovation project for one of our clients in the pork industry. A fully tailored intervention designed to improve efficiency, ergonomics, and automation across key points in the slaughter line.
1. Bleeding conveyor modification at floor level
We redesigned and adjusted the bleeding conveyor, aligning it completely at floor level to facilitate operator access, enhance workplace safety, and improve animal handling. This update also allows for better cleaning and maintenance, in full compliance with current sanitary regulations.
2. Scalding area discharge adjustment
The scalding discharge section was modified to ensure a smoother and more continuous product flow, reducing carcass accumulation and providing a seamless transition to downstream processes. This upgrade enhances overall efficiency and prevents operational bottlenecks.
3. Automation of carcass entry into processing room
One of the most impactful aspects of the project was the automation of carcass entry into the cutting room. By implementing sensors and automated control systems, we significantly reduced downtime, improved synchronization with floor staff, and boosted process traceability.
