Let us explain its operation and purpose.
A suckling pig wrapper is an industrial machine designed specifically to wrap whole suckling pigs in a plastic film. This process is carried out with the aim of:
- Preserving the freshness and quality of the product: The film or mesh that protects the suckling pig from air, moisture, and contamination extends its shelf life and maintains its organoleptic characteristics.
- Facilitating transportation and storage: The wrapped suckling pig is more compact and easier to handle, optimizing space in refrigeration chambers and transport vehicles.
- Enhancing presentation: A uniformly and attractively wrapped suckling pig has a greater visual impact at the point of sale, increasing its appeal to consumers.
How does a suckling pig wrapper work?
The basic operation of a suckling pig wrapper consists of the following steps:
- Placement of the suckling pig: The suckling pig is placed manually or by means of an automatic transport system on a rotating platform.
- Centering of the Suckling Pig: The rotating platform is activated to center the suckling pig precisely.
- Stretching of the film or mesh: A roll of film or mesh is unwound and stretched around the suckling pig.
- Sealing and cutting: The film or mesh is thermally sealed at the ends to ensure a tight closure.
